Velocities – ongoing research

Velocities is a long-term participatory project examining how individuals fall out of synchronicity with others, with larger systems and with speeds of change. I’m one of several collaborators on this project with the lead artist and choreographer Shivaangee Agrawal. Further development and research is ongoing into 2022.

In 2021, I have taken part in residencies at Kala Sangam, Bradford and The Place, London, where we have produced several pieces of immersive, interactive work that uses live performance combined with projection of live and pre-recorded video. The resulting works are Dislocated, Displaced, and Disembodied and explore the experience of disorientation, in particular through play and distortion of sight. Please get in touch if you would like to see a demonstration of how the pieces can be executed in your space.

You can see a detailed documentation of this project on Shivaangee’s website.
